"I personally have lots of friends in the Ukraine, friends who I have been all over the world with. We have shared countless hours of good times together.
Good people, my friends, friends who now are in bomb shelters waiting for it to stop not knowing the future. Friends who can see the damage inflicted on their nation as it gets closer and closer to them .
On Monday we gave a Ukrainian athlete a ride to mutual friends here in Virginia, all she has is one bag of clothes and one bag of training gear , she left the Ukraine via train and was lucky to do so , she made it to Poland and from there to the states.
There are now millions of Ukrainian refugees all over Europe, my friends in Finland are now housing 8 of them.
This is the reality of war and the reality of the Ukrainian people and that's why I want to do all that I can to help.
