Shipping Policy

WHAT IS THE HANDLING TIME?

We generally process and ship orders the same day and at most within 1-2 business days (Monday – Friday).  Cut off time for same day processing is 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?

Transit times generally range from 3-10 days depending on your location. Delays are subject but not limited to, holidays, weather, a pandemic, and carrier related delays. Transit time does not include processing and handling.

    • USPS First Class mail generally has a 3-10 day transit time.
    • USPS Priority mail generally has a 2-5 day transit time.
    • FedEx 2Day generally is a 2-3 day transit time.
    • FedEx Ground generally is a 3-10 day transit time.

WHAT IS SHIPPING PROTECTION AND SHIPPING INSURANCE?

Shipping insurance is a $0.98* piece of mind. Unfortunately, we have seen an increase of stolen packages over the past few years. Route Insurance insures these packages and will replace them almost immediately. Not only does Route cover stolen packages, but also covers lost packages.

* For orders with items with a retail value under $100 USD, Route is only $0.98 USD. For orders with items with a retail value over $100 USD, Route is calculated from 1.5%-5% of the cart total based on several factors (for example, if an order was $150 USD, with a 1.5% rate, then Route would cost $2.25 USD).

DO YOU SHIP TO MILITARY (APO) ADDRESSES?

Yes, we do! We ship to APO addresses through USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Please let us know if USPS is denying shipment to your APO address and we will look into a solution for you.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Most items have been integrated with our international shipping rates. Enter your shipping details into the checkout to view the rates.  You can also contact us with your location and the item(s) of interest. We will provide a shipping quote within one business day. Shipping costs include insurance, but any import duties and customs fees are 100% the buyer’s responsibility. We are unable to refund or offer credit on any import duties and customs fees. We also cannot provide estimates on any applicable import duties and custom fees.

Failure to accept and pay for import duties and customs fees will result in the item(s) being returned to our warehouse. Returns can take up to 30 days. Once the item(s) is received we will process the refund, minus the outbound shipping, insurance costs plus a 15% restocking fee. Shipping and insurance are non-refundable.

All international Shipments are shipped via USPS First Class International (10-20 business days), USPS Priority Mail International (6-10 business days). or through FedEx International (5-10 business days).

SHIPPING HOLIDAYS AT SERIOUS STEEL

While we ship most items within 1-2 business days, we do take breaks. Below are holidays that you may experience a delay in processing and handling times of your order.

    • Memorial Day
    • Independence Day
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Day after Thanksgiving
    • Christmas Day
    • Day after Christmas Day

There are also Federal Holidays that USPS does not offer service. Even if we are working those days, we will not have anyone to pick up or receive your package. In these cases your item(s) will ship the next available business day.
