The original BandBell® Bar is a revolution in shoulder and elbow rehabilitation because it activates the stabilizer muscles as the weight oscillates randomly.
Helps avoid surgery in many cases and prevents injury to healthy joints.
Crafted out of hardened ash and a specially-designed composite resin, this bar is 81" long and weighs just 6-lbs. Use it by attaching kettlebells or plates with Mini or Monster Mini Bands (sold separately, click here to grab yours!) to each side. The original BandBell® Bar designed to keep bands on the bar – no matter what! Great for high-energy, functional activities like:
CROSSFIT | MILITARY | AGILITY TRAINING
This unique bar generates the perfect amount of Oscillating Kinetic Energy for post-op and accident/injury patients. Perfect for Physical Therapy and Rehab clinics.
CAUTION: Load plates or kettlebells EVENLY on each side or the Bar will disrupt and flip.
WHO CREATED BANDBELL®️ BARBELLS AND WHY?
Jim Seitzer; a national-level bodybuilder and powerlifter, also one of the founding members of Westside Barbell. As a 35-year veteran of bodybuilding and powerlifting, Jim was no stranger to injury. The idea for the Bandbell®️ Barbell came when Jim was working through a shoulder injury.
Being the motivated athlete he was, Jim started experimenting with exercises that would allow him to keep training despite the injury. He began benching with a 7ft oak broomstick, adding resistance bands and 25-lb kettlebells, hung from either end. This set-up allowed him to perform the bench press without pain.
What started out in 2006 as a collaborative effort between Lou and Jim Seitzer has evolved through five prototypes to become the incredibly strong, kinetic-energy dynamo that it is today. This hand-made Bar, weighing only 6.3 lbs, can routinely handle weights in excess of 200 lbs every day - all day long.
This unique bar is scientifically engineered with extremely durable composite resins, which allows the barbell a lot of flex when lifting. Each end is topped off with solid ash loading sleeves to give it a maximum weight capacity of 300-lbs.
Easy to load, it’s perfect for single band rehab setups all the way up to complex kinetic variations using multiple bands with kettlebells, weights, chains and the new BandBell®️ Anchor Loaders™ and Strap-n-Hooks™. With endless variations to choose from, nervous system accommodation is a thing of the past.
